A bona fide poet I certainly am not.
If you'll grin and bear it, I'll give it a shot!
For Marci and Lance, this is their super big day.
A right good looking couple, wouldn't you say?
This day has been so o o o long in coming!
Not because there were no guys for Marci in the running.
What happened when fellows gave Marci "THE EYE"?
She just made them her buddies or passed them right by!
So what has made Lance so special to her?
Gotta be more than that bod of muscle and brawn, I'm sure!
Some wooed Marci with perfume and flowers - Lance followed suit.
Seems he brought her true happiness and lots of love to boot!
And why did Lance fall for this blond Marci gal?
He thinks she's fun and she's pretty and she's loving as well.
This couple has several things in common.
Nothing as simple as liking Top Ramen!
As children they both lived in countries afar,
Marci in Pakistan - Lance in deep Africar.
In high school Marci scored on the gymnastic team,
Lance was a popular football jock it seams.
Being good Christians, for mission service they did look,
So Marci went to Bolivia - Lance to the Isle of Chuuk.
As a nurse Marci has helped many in their quest for healing.
I imagine most patents find her quite appealing.
Lance is a builder, a job at which he works hard.
Now he's become a pilot - this really has my peace-of-mind jarred!
Lance, take good care of this gal who is so dear to us,
And Marci, you be a Sweetheart, don't nag much or fuss!
We all wish you a blest and wonderfully happy married life.
Aren't you thrilled and excited? You are now Husband and Wife!
Now, I want you both to listen very carefully to my only request!
We want some great grand Kids!! Promise you'll do your best!
